Chattel Securities Amendment Regulations 2014

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Chattel Securities Amendment
Regulations 2014.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day fixed under the Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008 section 2(b).

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Chattel Securities
Regulations 1988.

4.             Regulation 3 amended

(1) In regulation 3 in the definition of registration number delete
paragraph (a)(i) and insert:

(i) Road Traffic (Vehicles) Act 2012; or

(2)	In regulation 3 in the definition of vehicle identification number delete “rule 52 of the Road Traffic (Vehicle Standards) Rules 2002;” and insert:
the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Regulations 2014 regulation 274;

5.             Regulation 7 amended

(1) In regulation 7(b):

(a) delete subparagraph (i) and insert:

(i) Road Traffic (Vehicles) Act 2012; or

(b) delete subparagraph (ii) and insert:

(ii)      the Taxi Act 1994; or

(2)	In regulation 7 after paragraph (b)(ia) insert:
or

6.             Regulation 8 amended

In regulation 8(1)(a) delete “Road Traffic Act 1974;” and insert:

Road Traffic (Vehicles) Act 2012;
