By-laws under the Charles Darwin University Act 2003

1Citation

These By-laws may be cited as the Charles Darwin University (Alumni Membership) By-laws 2005.

2Membership of the Alumni

• (1)

  For the purpose of section 21(2) of the Act, membership of the Alumni is open to the following classes of persons:

  • (a)

    students of the University;

  • (b)

    former students of the University;

  • (c)

    members of staff of the University;

  • (d)

    former members of staff of the University; and

  • (e)

    any other person who wishes to take an active role or participate in University correspondence or who has an interest in the University.

• (2)

  In this by-law 2, a reference to the University is extended to include any antecedent institutions to the University, or institutions that form or have formed part of the University at any time, including the current antecedent institutions specified in the Schedule to this By-law.
