1      Name of Plan

This Plan is Cessnock Local Environmental Plan 1989 (Amendment

No 124).

2      Commencement

This Plan commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3      Aims of Plan

This Plan aims to amend Cessnock Local Environmental Plan 1989:

(a)	to rezone the land to which this plan applies from Zone No 1 (a) (Rural “A” Zone) to Zone No 2 (c) (Residential (Development Control Area) Zone), and
(b)	to provide that Cessnock City Council (as consent authority) is to ensure that adequate provision is made for necessary public infrastructure when determining development applications relating to future urban development of the land to which this plan applies.

4      Land to which Plan applies

This Plan applies to land situated in the City of Cessnock, being Lots 1 and 2, DP 862493, Lots 520–522 and 527, DP 755215, Lots 1 and 2, DP 815758, Lots 1 and 2, DP 1057609, Lots 3 and 4, DP 794444, Lots 9–16, Section 3, DP 758576, Lots 11–20, Section 13, DP 758576, Lot 1, Section 46, DP 758576 and Lots 1 and 2, DP 630297, and Bellbird Street and parts of Abernethy and Cessnock Streets and Southams Road, Kitchener, as shown edged heavy black and lettered “2 (c)” on the map marked “Cessnock Local Environmental Plan 1989 (Amendment No 124)” deposited in the office of Cessnock City Council.
