CENTENARY CELEBRATION (AMENDMENT) ACT.

Act No. 36, 1966.

An Act to vest in the University of New South Wales, the Commissioner for Government Transport, the Municipal Council of Randwick and the Minister for Education certain land vested in the Chief Minister by the Centenary Celebration Act (51 Victoria Number 9); to validate certain trans- actions affecting land vested in the Chief Minister; to amend the Centenary Celebration Act, as amended by subsequent Acts, and certain other Acts; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 28th September, 1966.]

This Act may be cited as the "Centenary Celebration with the Centenary Celebration Act (51 Victoria Number 9).	(Amendment) Act, 1966", and shall be read and construed
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative	Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: —

1.

The land described in the First and Fifth Schedules to this Act is hereby divested from the Chief Minister and vested in the University of New South Wales for the purposes of the Technical Education and University of New South Wales Act, 1949-1965.

The land described in the Second and Sixth Schedules to this Act is hereby divested from the Chief Minister and vested in the Commissioner for Government Transport for the purposes of the Transport Act, 1930-1966.

The land described in the Third Schedule to this Act is hereby divested from the Chief Minister and vested in the Municipal Council of Randwick for an estate in fee simple for the purposes of a public road and such road is hereby opened and dedicated as a public road.

The land described in the Fourth Schedule to this Act is hereby divested from the Chief Minister and vested in the Minister for Education as Constructing Authority under the Public Works Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts, on behalf of Her Majesty for the purposes of the Technical Education and University of New South Wales Act, 1949- 1965.

6. The notification referred to in the Seventh Schedule to this Act shall be deemed to have effected, pursuant to the

Public Roads Act 1902, the resumption of the land therein
described.

Deed of Conveyance dated the fifteenth day of Decem­ ber, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, registered Book 1047 Number 943, shall be deemed to have vested in Bartholomew William Foley, therein described, for the estate therein mentioned, the land described in the Eighth Schedule to this Act.

8. The notification referred to in the Ninth Schedule to this Act shall be deemed to have effected, pursuant to section eighty-one of the Public Works Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts, and the regulations made thereunder, the dedication, as an addition to a public highway, of the land therein described.

9. Any trusts, conditions, encumbrances and dedications affecting the land described in the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Ninth Schedules to this Act immedi­ ately before the commencement of this Act in the hands of the Chief Minister are hereby revoked and annulled.

(1) The Registrar-General may, with respect to any land described in the Schedules to this Act, make such entries and notations in the records of the Registrar-General's Department or on any certificate of title issued under the Real Property Act, 1900, as amended by subsequent Acts, as to him seem necessary or convenient in consequence of the enact­ ment of this Act.

(2) On application by—

(a) the University of New South Wales;
(b) the Commissioner for Government Transport; or
(c) the Minister for Education,

the Registrar-General shall issue in the name of the applicant or other the authority entitled at the time of the application a certificate or certificates of title under the provisions of the Real Property Act, 1900, as amended by subsequent Acts, for the lands respectively vested pursuant to sections two, three

and five of this Act. SCHEDULES.

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the municipality of Randwick, parish of Alexandria and county of Cumberland, being lot 2, deposited plan 218688, and having an area of 1 acre 3 roods 3 H perches or thereabouts.

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the municipality of Randwick, parish of Alexandria and county of Cumberland, being lot 1, deposited plan 218688 , and having an area of 3 roods 26J perches or thereabouts.

T H I R D S C H E D U L E .

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the municipality of Rand- wick, parish of Alexandria and county of Cumberland, being the southern prolongation of Dangar Street extending from the westerly prolongation of the southern side of Tramway Lane to the northern side of King Street as shown in deposited plan 218688.

F O U R T H S C H E D U L E .

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the municipality of Rand- wick, parish of Alexandria and county of Cumberland, being lots 1 and 2, deposited plan 212352, and having an area of 4 acres 3 roods 36 f perches or thereabouts.

FIFTH S C H E D U L E .

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the municipality of Rand- wick, parish of Alexandria and county of Cumberland, being lots 3 and 4, deposited plan 212352, and having an area of 3 acres 2 roods H i perches or thereabouts.

Also all that piece or parcel of land situate in the municipality of Randwick, parish of Alexandria and county of Cumberland, being lot 1, deposited plan 228903 , and having an area of 1 acre 3 roods 32i perches or thereabouts.

SIXTH S C H E D U L E .

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the municipality of
Randwick, parish of Alexandria and county of Cumberland, being

lot 2, deposited plan 228903 , and having an area of 13 acres 1 rood

Notification published in the Gazette on the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and ten, under the Public Roads Act 1902, of the resumption of certain land at Randwick more particularly described as follows: —

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the municipality of Randwick, parish of Alexandria and county of Cumberland, being the 1 rood 1 5 i perches parcel of land shown in plan catalogued R9724-1603 in the Department of Lands, Sydney.

EIGHTH SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land situate near Centennial Park in the municipality of Randwick, parish of Alexandria, county of Cum- berland, being the 17i perches of land shown in plan catalogued Ms. 3105 Sy. in the Department of Lands, Sydney and described in Deed of Conveyance registered Book 1047 Number 943.

NINTH SCHEDULE.

Notification published in the Gazette on the thirteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-two, under the Public Works Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts, and the regulations made thereunder, of the dedication, as an addition to a public highway, of land more particularly described as follows:—

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the municipality of Randwick, parish of Alexandria and county of Cumberland, being part of the 6 acres 1 rood 8 perches parcel of land described in notifi- cation of resumption published in Gazette of 3rd February, 1961, for the purpose of a technical college at Randwick: Commencing on the northern side of King Street at its intersection with the south- eastern side of Darley Road; and bounded thence on the north-west by the said south-eastern side of Darley Road bearing 29 degrees 33 minutes 20 seconds 40 feet; on the north-east by a line bearing 149 degrees 36 minutes 30 seconds 40 feet % inch to the said northern side of King Street; and on the south by that side of that street bearing 269 degrees 39 minutes 40 seconds 40 feet to the point of commencement; and having an area of 2 | perches or thereabouts.
