CENTENARY CELEBRATION

(AMENDMENT) ACT.

Act No. 10, 1939.

An Act to vest certain land vested in the Chief Minister by the Centenary Celebration Act (51 Victoria No. 9) in His Majesty for the purposes of public recreation ; to amend the said Act; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 0th September, 1939.]

1 . This Act may he cited as the "Centenary Celebra- tion (Amendment) Act, 1939," and shall be read and construed with the Centenary Celebration Act (51 Victoria No. 9). 2 ,

the same, as follows :—

2. (1) The land described in the Schedule to this Act is hereby divested from the Chief Minister and vested in His Majesty.

(2) The said land shall from the commencement of this Act be deemed to be Crown lands and to be dedi­ cated for public recreation in accordance with the pro­ visions of section twenty-four of the Crown Lands Consolidation Act, 1913.

(3) Any trusts, conditions, encumbrances and dedications affecting the said land immediately before the commencement of this Act in the hands of the said Chief Minister are hereby revoked and annulled.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the Municipality of

Waverley, parish of Alexandria, county of Cumberland, being part of Centennial Park as proclaimed by notification in the Government Gazette of 16th February, 1900: Commencing on the southern side of Victoria street at the easternmost north-western corner of the land vested in the Municipal Council of Waverley for a roadway 'by the Centenary Celebration (Amendment) Act, 1935, bounded thence on the south-east, south, and south-west by the boundaries of that land being lines bearing 196 degrees 22 minutes, 167 feet 31/4 inches,

the arc of a circle of 67 feet radius 174 feet 3 1 inches (lying to the south of its chord bearing 270 degrees 54 minutes, 129 feet 13/4 inches),

and 345 degrees 26 minutes, 193 feet 4 inches to the southern side of Victoria street aforesaid, thence on the north by +hat side of that street bearing 97 degrees 15 minutes, 226 feet 81/2 inches to the point

of commencement, containing an area of 3 roods 10 perches more or
