AN ACT to amend the Censorship of Films Act,

1947-1978.

[Assented to 11th October, 1979.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Censorship

and citation.

of Films Act Amendment Act, 1979.

Reprinted as

(2) In this Act the Censorship of Films Act, 1947-

approved for reprint 14th

1978, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may

be cited as the Censorship of Films Act, 1947-1979.

Section 22

amended.

2. Section 22 of the principal Act is amended by inserting, after subsection (8), the following sub- section

Return of

fees.

(8a) If, in the opinion of the Minister or person authorised by the Minister to hear any such appeal, the appeal is completely or substantially upheld, the prescribed fee paid to the censor under subsection (3) of this section shall be returned to the appellant. .
