Cemeteries (Incorporation of Trusts) (Amendment)

Regulations 2001

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to incorporate an additional 6 cemetery trusts and abolish 3 cemetery trusts.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 3 and

92 of the Cemeteries Act 1958.

3. Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Cemeteries
(Incorporation of Trusts) Regulations 19951 are

called the Principal Regulations.

4. Additional cemetery trusts incorporated

In the Schedule to the Principal Regulations—

(a) after the item relating to The Alma Cemetery Trust—

(i)  in column 1 insert "The Trustees of the Altona Memorial Park";

(ii)

in column 2 insert— (b) Williamstown Public Cemetery";

(b) after the item relating to The Bendigo Cemeteries Trust—

(i)  in column 1 insert "The Bendoc Cemetery Trust";

(ii)  in column 2 insert "Bendoc Public Cemetery";

(c) after the item relating to The Condah Cemetery Trust—

(i)  in column 1 insert "The Coongulmerang Cemetery Trust";

(ii)  in column 2 insert "Coongulmerang Public Cemetery";

(d) after the item relating to The Corinella Cemetery Trust—

(i)  in column 1 insert "The Corop Cemetery Trust";

(ii)  in column 2 insert "Corop Public Cemetery";

(e) after the item relating to The Marysville Cemetery Trust—

(i)  in column 1 insert "The Matlock Cemetery Trust";

(f) after the item relating to The Nandaly Cemetery Trust—

5. Abolition of cemetery trusts

(1) A cemetery trust listed in column 1 of the table is

abolished and all its assets and liabilities are
transferred to the cemetery trust listed in column 2

of the table opposite the first cemetery trust.
