AN ACT to amend the Cemeteries Act 1897-1978.

[Assented to 5 November 1980.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Cemeteries

and citation.

(1) Subject to subsection (2) of this section

on a day to be fixed by proclamation.

Section 12 of the principal Act is amended in

subsection (1) by inserting after "administration

of the cemetery" the following-

" and such other buildings as are necessary for the purposes of the cemetery or the use and convenience of persons visiting it or both ".

Section 16A of the principal Act is amended

by inserting after paragraph (b) the following

paragraph-

" (ba) let or lease any building provided by the trustees for the use and convenience of persons visiting the cemetery; ".

Section 30

Section 30 of the principal Act is amended in subsection (2) by deleting the passage "or, if the trustee of the cemetery is the council of a munici- pality, by an inspector of the Government Depart- ment known as the Department of Local Government".
