AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Cemeteries Ordinance 1933

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Adminis­ tration) Act 1910.

CEMETERIES (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1978

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Cemeteries (Amendment)

Ordinance 1978.*

2. Section 16 of the Cemeteries Ordinance 1933f is repealed and

the following section substituted:

" 1 6 . A person shall not exhume a body, or the remains of a body,

buried in a cemetery—

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at
(a)	except in pursuance of a warrant issued under the Coroners Ordinance 1956; or

(b) without the permission in writing of the Commissioner.

Penalty: $100.".
