AN ORDINANCE

I To amend the Cemeteries Ordinance 1933.
BE it ordained by the Governor-General in and over the Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the

Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal

Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909-1938 and the Seat of
Government (Administration) Act 1910-1940, as follows:—-
1.— (1.) This Ordinance mav be cited as the Cemeteries short title and cltatl0D-
Ordinance 1942.*
(2.) The Cemeteries Ordinance 1933, as amended by this
Ordinance, may be cited as the Cemeteries Ordinance 1933-1942.
2. Section five of the Cemeteries Ordinance 1933 is amended Provision of

bj omitt ing paragraph (c) of sub-section (1.) and inserting in its accordmgto

stead the following pa rag raph :— denominations,

" (c) for the' burial of deceased persons who served—

(i) in the war which commenced in the year One thousand nine hundred and fourteen, in any Naval or Military Expedi t ionary Force raised in the Commonwealth or in any other part of the King's dominions; or

(ii) in any other war in which His Majesty is or has been

engaged—

(1) in the Naval, Military or Air Forces of the Commonwealth or of any other pari of the King's dominions; or

(2) in the Commonwealth or any Terr i tory of the Commonwealth or in any area adjacent thereto, in the Armed Forces of any Power or Author i ty allied or associated with His Majesty in any such war.".
