Cattle Transaction Levy Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, being advice that has, in accordance with subsections 8 (2) and 8 (3) of the Cattle Transaction Levy Act 1990, taken into consideration the recommendations with respect to the amounts for the purposes of paragraphs 6 (1) (a) and 6 (2) (a), and 6 (1) (b) and 6 (2) (b) of the Act (respectively), made to the Minister by the Australian Meat and Live-stock Corporation and the Meat and Research Corporation (respectively), make the following Regulations under the Act.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 March 1993.

2.    Amendment

2.1   The Cattle Transaction Levy Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.    Regulation 4 (Prescribed amounts for the purposes of section 6 of the Act)

3.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

“4.(1)

For the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (a) of the Act, $2.58 is prescribed.

“(2)

For the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (b) of the Act, $0.78 is prescribed.

“(3)

For the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (c) of the Act, $0.52 is prescribed.

“(4)

For the purposes of paragraph 6 (2) (a) of the Act, $0.57 is prescribed.

“(5)

For the purposes of paragraph 6 (2) (b) of the Act, $0.17 is prescribed.

“(6)

For the purposes of paragraph 6 (2) (c) of the Act, $0.00 is prescribed.”.
