Cattle Export Charge Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, being advice that has, in accordance with subsections 8 (2) and 8 (3) of the Cattle Export Charge Act 1990, taken into consideration the recommendations with respect to the amounts for the purposes of paragraphs 6 (1) (a) and 6 (1) (b) of the Act (respectively), made to the Minister by the Australian Meat and Live-stock Corporation and the Meat Research Corporation (respectively), make the following Regulations under the Act.

1.   Commencement

1.1  These Regulations commence on 1 July 1994.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Cattle Export Charge Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 4 (Prescribed amount for the purposes of section 6 of the Act)

3.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

Rate of charge on export of cattle

“4.

(1) For the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (a) of the Act, $0.0080 is prescribed.

“(2)

For the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (b) of the Act, $0.00247 is prescribed.”.
