An Act to amend section 5 of the Cattle Compensation Act, 1951, in relation to orders given by Commonwealth meat inspectors for the destruction of cattle. [Assented to, 4th May, 1983.]

Cattle Compensation (Meat Inspection) Amendment.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1.     This Act may be cited as the "Cattle Compensation (Meat Inspection)

Amendment Act, 1983".

Commencement.

2. (1) Except as provided by subsection (2), this Act shall commence

on the date of assent to this Act.

(2) Section 3 shall commence on the day appointed and notified under section 2 (2) of the Stock Diseases (Meat Inspection) Amendment Act, 1983.

Amendment of Act No. 26, 1951.

The Cattle Compensation Act, 1951, is amended by inserting in section 5 (1) (c) after the words "approved person" the words "or an employee under an Act of the Parliament of the Commonwealth who, in his capacity as such, engages in the inspection of meat".
