CATTLE COMPENSATION (AMENDMENT) ACT.

An Act to increase the maximum amount of compen- sation payable out of the Cattle Compensation Fund in respect of any one head of cattle; for this purpose to amend the Cattle Compensation Act, 1951-1957; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 22nd November, 1962.] BE

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: —

(1) This Act may be cited as the "Cattle Compensa- tion (Amendment) Act, 1962".

(2) The Cattle Compensation Act, 1951-1957, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Cattle Compensa- tion Act, 1951-1962.

(3) This Act shall commence upon a day to be appointed by the Governor and notified by proclamation published in the Gazette.

The Cattle Compensation Act, 1951-1957, is amended by omitting from subsection (1B) of section six the words "thirty-six pounds" and by inserting in lieu thereof the words "fifty pounds".
