Cat Amendment Regulations 2020

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Cat Amendment Regulations 2020.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these

regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Cat Regulations 2012.

4.             Regulation 10 amended

Delete regulation 10(1) and insert:

(1) In this regulation —

exhibited means exhibited for show purposes at a cat

show held by —

(a) Cat Owners’ Association of Western Australia

Incorporated; or

(b)	the Feline Control Council of Western Australia (Inc); or
(c)	Australian National Cats Incorporated; or
(d)	Cats United WA Incorporated; or
(e)	a body that is affiliated with an organisation mentioned in paragraph (a), (b), (c) or (d).

5.             Regulation 23 amended

Delete regulation 23(c) and insert:

(c) is a current member of one of the following

organisations —

(i)      Cat Owners’ Association of Western

Australia Incorporated;

(ii)      the Feline Control Council of Western Australia (Inc);

(iii)      Australian National Cats Incorporated;

(iv)      Cats United WA Incorporated.
