Made by his Excellency the Governor in Executive Council.
Citation
1. These regulations may be cited as the Casino Control (Burswood Island)
(Licensing of Employees) Amendment Regulations (1990).
Principal regulations

2.   In these regulations the Casino Control (Burswood Island) (Licensing of

Employees) Regulations 1985* are referred to as the principal regulations.

Regulation 2 amended

3.    Regulation 2 of the principal regulations is amended in subregulation (1)

by inserting after the definition of "the Casino Gaming Licence" the following
definition—

"the Commission" means the Gaming Commission of Western Australia established pursuant to section 4 of the Gaming Commission Act

4. The principal regulations are amended by deleting "Committee" wherever

it occurs in the provision referred to in the Table to this regulation and
substituting in each case the following—

8. AUTHORIZATION TO MAKE INQUIRIES.
In making this application I hereby agree that the Gaming Commission of
Western Australia and the Chief Casino Officer may cause whatever
inquiries are considered by the Commission or that officer to be necessary
to be made, in the State and elsewhere, to verify the information provided
by or concerning me, and that such inquiries may be made both before and
after the issue of the licence.
For the purposes of this application I hereby authorize—

(a)

the manager or officer in charge of any bank or other financial institution to whom a request is presented by an accredited representative of the Gaming Commission of Western Australia or a police officer to allow such representative or officer to inspect and obtain copies of, or extracts from, any and all documents, records or correspondence pertaining to me, solely or jointly with any other party, including but not limited to any credit or loan information, cheque account records, savings, credit and passbook records, safe deposit records, and statement sheets, held by that bank or other financial institution; and

(b)

the Commissioner of Police, and any police officer in the State or elsewhere acting at the request of the Commissioner of Police, to inquire into, record and report to the Gaming Commission of Western Australia and the Chief Casino Officer any known or suspected criminal activity, associates, antecedents or circum- stances concerning my suitability for employment in the Casino.

a licence fee if paid by cheque made payable to the Casino Control Division of—

(ii) $100 in the case of an application for a casino employee licence;

$300 in the case of an application for a casino key employee and

(b)

3 identical passport photographs taken within the preceding 6 months—the reverse of one photograph to be endorsed—

(d) a letter from the casino operator addressed to the Chief Casino Officer, Office of Racing and Gaming stating that the operator will consider the applicant for employment in a specific capacity; and
(e) where appropriate, evidence that the applicant has successfully completed a training course approved by the Gaming Commission of Western Australia or evidence that the applicant is otherwise qualified by relevant experience.

3. Applicants for a casino key employee licence will be required to have their fingerprints taken and furnish other evidence of identification. All other applicants may be required to have their fingerprints taken and furnish other evidence of identification.

4. Arrangements may be made for you to attend personal interviews, including interviews with officers of the Office of Racing and Gaming or of the Police Force.

5. During the period in which this application is being processed, the applicant should notify the Chief Casino Officer of any change in the applicant's address.

6.

Applications must be lodged with or forwarded to the— Office of Racing and Gaming. ".
