Cash Transaction Reports Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Cash Transaction Reports Act 1988.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Cash Transaction Reports Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

2.   New regulation 11b

2.1   After regulation 11a, insert:

Periods for the purposes of section 18 of the Act

 “11b.(1) For the purposes of subsection 18 (5) of the Act, the period of 21 days is prescribed instead of the day first referred to in that subsection.

(2)

For the purposes of subsection 18 (5a) of the Act, the period of 21 days is prescribed instead of the period specified in that subsection”.
