Exemption — use of ADS-B in Aerolineas Argentinas aircraft LV-CSF

1          Duration

This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day after registration; and

(b)   expires at the end of 11 December 2013, as if it had been repealed by another instrument.

2          Application

This instrument applies to the carriage of compliant Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) equipment by an aircraft operated by


Aerolineas Argentinas (the operator).

3          Exemption

The operator and the pilot in command are each exempt from compliance with the technical standards in Appendices 4 and 5 to Civil Aviation Order 82.5, as they relate to the carriage of compliant ADS-B equipment in the aircraft mentioned in


Schedule 1.

4          Conditions

The exemption is subject to the conditions mentioned in Schedule 2.

Schedule 2          Conditions

1     The pilot in command must not indicate ADS-B equipage on the flight plans for the aircraft.

2     The operator must provide CASA with a schedule of modification and a progress report as the aircraft is modified to comply with ADS-B requirements.

3     If the aircraft modification is delayed, the operator must provide CASA with an update of the schedule.
