Exemption — flight instructor (aeroplane) rating

1           Duration

                This instrument:

(a)     commences on the day after it is registered; and

(b)     stops having effect at the end of 31 March 2010.

2           Application

                This instrument applies to Farhain Binte Abu Bakar, Aviation Reference Number (ARN) 769385 and Kabir Khan Bin Azraf Khan, ARN 769357, in relation to the requirements for the issue of ratings.

3           Exemption

Farhain Binte Abu Bakar and Kabir Khan Bin Azraf Khan are exempt from compliance with regulations 5.14, 5.16 and 5.18 of CAR 1988 to the extent mentioned in Schedule 1.

4           Conditions

                The exemption is subject to the conditions mentioned in Schedule 2.

Schedule 1             Extent of exemption

The exemption extends only to the directions under regulation 5.14 of CAR 1988 that are contained in subparagraph 4.2 (a) of Civil Aviation Order 40.1.7 (CAO 40.1.7).

Schedule 2             Conditions

                Farhain Binte Abu Bakar and Kabir Khan Bin Azraf Khan must:

(a) hold a certificate of validation issued in accordance with regulation 5.27 of CAR 1988; and

(b)     hold a Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplanes) and an instrument rating issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore; and

(c)     have completed a course of flight instruction, course of instructional principles and methods and have passed a flight test specified in paragraph 4.1 of CAO 40.1.7.
