Exemption — S-211 aircraft endorsement for Willie Swee Lim Chew

1          Duration

            This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day after it is registered; and

(b)   stops having effect at the end of 31 December 2010.

2          Application

            This instrument applies to the requirements for the issue of class endorsement on the S-211 aircraft for Willie Swee Lim Chew, Aviation Reference Number 564066 (the applicant).

3          Exemption

The applicant is exempt from compliance with subregulation 5.23 (1) of CAR 1988 only to the extent mentioned in Schedule 1.

4          Conditions

            The exemption is subject to the conditions mentioned in Schedule 2 which are necessary in the interests of safety.

Schedule 1          Extent of the exemption

The exemption extends only to the directions under subregulation 5.23 (1) of CAR 1988 that is contained in paragraphs 6 and 7 of Civil Aviation Order 40.1.0.

Schedule 2          Conditions

             It is a condition of this exemption that the applicant:

(a)   holds an aeroplane pilot licence; and

(b)   either:

             (i)   holds a Republic of Singapore Air Force pilot qualification authorising the applicant to operate and conduct flying instruction on the S-211 type of aircraft; or

            (ii)   has held a Republic of Singapore Air Force pilot qualification authorising the applicant to operate and conduct flying instruction on the S-211 type of aircraft.
