Exemption — earth point at fuelling site
1 Duration
This instrument:
(a) commences on the day after it is registered; and
(b) stops having effect at the end of 31 August 2011.
2 Application
This instrument applies to Jetstar Airways Pty Limited, Aviation Reference Number 510654 (the operator), when conducting fuelling operations.
3 Exemption
An aircraft operated by the operator is exempt from compliance with subregulation 235 (7) of CAR 1988 to the extent mentioned in Schedule 1.
4 Conditions
The exemption is subject to conditions mentioned in Schedule 2.
Schedule 1 Extent of exemption
The exemption extends only to the directions under subregulation 235 (7) of CAR 1988 that are contained in paragraph 4.3.4 of CAO 20.9.
Schedule 2 Conditions
1 The aircraft fuelling equipment and refuel tanker must be bonded together.
2 The fuel must not be wide-cut aviation fuel.
3 Overwing refuelling is not permitted.
4 Fuelling operations must be conducted underwing or through body refuelling point.
5 Except when fuel conforming to specification ASTM-D-1655 is used, the fuel must contain an anti-static additive to the level required (usually 450 pico Siemens) to minimise the build-up of static charges in the fuelling equipment and the aircraft fuel tanks.
