Exemption — operations into Aurukun aerodrome

1          Duration

            This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day after it is registered; and

(b)   stops having effect at the end of 30 June 2008.

2          Application

            This exemption applies to:

(a)   the pilot in command of a DHC-8-102 aircraft; and

(b)   aircraft operated by Skytrans Regional Pty Ltd, Aviation Reference Number 584560 (Skytrans Regional); and

(c)   take-offs from, or landings at, the aerodrome mentioned in Schedule 1; and

(d)   the operator of the aerodrome mentioned in Schedule 1.

3          Exemption

(1) The pilot in command of a DHC-8-102 aircraft operated by Skytrans Regional is exempt from compliance with subregulations 92A (1), (3) and (4A) of CAR 1988 in take-offs from, or landing at, the aerodrome mentioned in Schedule 1.

(2) Skytrans Regional is exempt from compliance with subregulations 92A (3) and (4A) of CAR 1988.

(3) The operator of the aerodrome mentioned in Schedule 1 is exempt from compliance with regulation 139.040 of CASR 1998.

4          Conditions

            The exemption is subject to conditions in Schedule 2.

Schedule 2          Conditions

      1     Operations to and from the aerodrome must be in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the operator of the aerodrome and Skytrans Regional.

      2     Skytrans Regional must ensure that the aerodrome operates in accordance with the Aerodrome Manual as accepted by CASA.
