Exemption — requirements for instrument rating — Warren Felix Bertschinger

1          Duration

This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day after it is registered; and

(b)   stops having effect at the end of 31 October 2008.

2          Application

This instrument applies to

Warren Felix Bertschinger, Aviation Reference Number 575394

while undertaking an instrument rating flight test in a Boeing 737 simulator for the issue of a command multi-engine aeroplane instrument rating.

3          Exemption

Warren Felix Bertschinger is exempt from compliance with regulation 5.14 of CAR 1988 to the extent mentioned in Schedule 1.

4          Condition

     The exemption is subject to the condition mentioned in Schedule 2.

Schedule 1          Extent of exemption

The exemption extends only to the direction under regulation 5.14 of CAR 1988 that is contained in paragraph 8.2 and subparagraph 10.4.3 (c) of Civil Aviation Order 40.2.1.

Schedule 2          Condition

Warren Felix Bertschinger must hold a student pilot licence.
