Exemption — flying training in amateur-built aeroplane
1 Duration
This instrument:
(a) commences on the day after registration; and
(b) expires at the end of April 2017, as if it had been repealed by another instrument.
2 Application
This instrument applies to the use of an aeroplane of a kind mentioned in subparagraph 1.2 (e) of Civil Aviation Order 95.55 (Exemption from the provisions of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1988 – certain ultralight aeroplanes) Instrument 2015(CAO 95.55), if the aeroplane is the Brumby 610 aeroplane registered with Recreational Aviation Australia Inc (RA-Aus) as 19-7780.
3 Exemption
The aeroplane is exempt from complying with sub-subparagraph 6.1 (a) (ii) of CAO 95.55.
4 Conditions
The exemption is subject to the following conditions:
(a)the aeroplane may only be operated for the purposes of providing flying training to Richard John Thorp, Aviation Reference Number 110517, who is a joint owner of the aeroplane;
(b)the training may only be provided to Richard John Thorp by David Ford, who is a chief flying instructor for RA-Aus and a joint owner of the aeroplane.
