Exemption — requirements for instrument rating — Timothy John Nolan

1          Duration

            This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day after it is registered; and

(b)   stops having effect at the end of 31 October 2008.

2          Application

            This instrument applies to

            Timothy John Nolan, Aviation Reference Number 770568

while undertaking an instrument rating flight test in a Learjet LR 45 flight simulator for the issue of a command (multi-engine aeroplane) instrument rating.

3          Exemption

Timothy John Nolan is exempt from compliance with regulation 5.14 of CAR 1988 to the extent mentioned in Schedule 1.

4          Condition

             The exemption is subject to the condition mentioned in Schedule 2.

Schedule 1          Extent of exemption

The exemption extends only to the direction under regulation 5.14 of CAR 1988 that is contained in paragraph 8.2 and subparagraph 10.4.3 (c) of Civil Aviation Order 40.2.1.

Schedule 2          Condition

              Timothy John Nolan must hold a student pilot licence.
