Exemption — display of markings (gliders and powered sailplanes)

1          Duration

                 This instrument

(a)   commences on the day of registration; and

(b)   is repealed at the end of 28 February 2018.

2          Application

                 This instrument applies to the registration holder and the registered operator of a glider or a powered sailplane (the aircraft) that is registered with the Gliding Federation of Australia, ARN 217932 (GFA), and operating in Australian territory if the aircraft’s registration mark begins with a character other than the character “G”.

3          Exemption

                 The registration holder and the registered operator are exempt from the requirement in subregulation 45.015 (2) of CASR to the extent that the registration holder and the registered operator are required to display the Australian nationality mark on the aircraft if the aircraft’s registration mark begins with a character other than the character “G”.
