Exemption — from compliance with Foreign State of Design Airworthiness Directive

1          Commencement

                 This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day after it is registered; and

(b)   stops having effect at the earlier of:

             (i)  2 years after commencement; or

            (ii)  the revocation of Canadian Airworthiness Directive CF 2011-03 (the AD).

2          Application

                 This instrument applies to any Australian registered Bombardier Inc. aircraft (the aircraft) engaged in commercial passenger carrying operations within Australian airspace.

3          Exemption — pilots in command and registered operators

The pilot in command and the registered operator of the aircraft are exempt from compliance with regulation 39.003 of CASR 1998 to the extent mentioned in Schedule 1.

Schedule 1          Extent of exemption

                 The exemption extends only to the requirement to comply with the AD.
