Exemption — operations into Aurukun, Lockhart River and Palm Island aerodromes
1 Duration
This instrument:
(a) commences on the day after it is registered; and
(b) stops having effect at the end of 31 December 2007.
2 Application
This exemption applies to:
(a) the pilot in command of a DHC-8-102 aircraft; and
(b) aircraft operated by Queensland Regional Airlines Pty Ltd, Aviation Reference Number 584560 (QRA); and
(c) take-offs from, or landings at, the aerodromes mentioned in Schedule 1; and
(d) the operators of the aerodromes mentioned in Schedule 1.
3 Exemption
(1) The pilot in command of a DHC-8-102 aircraft operated by QRA is exempt from compliance with subregulations 92A (1), (3) and (4A) of CAR 1988 in take-offs from, or landing at, the aerodromes mentioned in Schedule 1.
(2) QRA is exempt from compliance with subregulations 92A (3) and (4A) of CAR 1988.
(3) The operators of the aerodromes mentioned in Schedule 1 are exempt from compliance with regulation 139.040 of CASR 1998.
4 Conditions
The exemption is subject to conditions in Schedule 2.
Schedule 1 Aerodromes
Aurukun (YAUR), Lockhart River (YLHR), Palm Island (YPAM).
Schedule 2 Conditions
1 Operations to and from the aerodrome must be in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the operators of the aerodromes and QRA.
2 QRA must ensure that each of the aerodromes operates in accordance with the Aerodrome Manuals approved by Bob Wickbold, Aerodrome Inspector Northern Region (Townsville).
