Exemption — extended diversion time operation requirements (Qantas B747 and A380)

1          Duration

This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day of registration; and

(b)   expires at the end of January 2016, as if it had been repealed by another instrument.

2          Repeal

Instrument CASA EX111/15 is repealed.

3          Definition

In this instrument:

EDTO has the same meaning given in paragraph 2.1 of Civil Aviation Order 82.0 (CAO 82.0).

4          Application

This instrument applies to Qantas Airways Limited, Aviation Reference Number 216147 (the operator), when conducting regular public transport operations or charter operations in the operator’s B747 and A380 aircraft.

5          Exemption

     The operator is exempt from complying with the requirements of subsection 3BC of CAO 82.0.

Note   The operator will not be required to undertake EDTO for passenger-carrying operations conducted in the operator’s B747 and A380 aircraft.

6          Condition

The operator must include a copy of this instrument in the operator’s operations manual.
