Exemption — night acrobatic flight

1          Duration

            This instrument:

(a)   commences on 13 March 2009; and

(b)   stops having effect at the end of 13 March 2009.

2          Application

            This instrument applies to the following persons when participating in the night display at the Australian International Air Show 2009 at Avalon, Victoria:

(a)   Robert Jay Carlton, holder of FAA Commercial Pilot Licence Number 585026603, as the pilot in command of the H101 SALTO jet powered glider, FAA registration N-101AZ;

(b)   Kent Pietsch, holder of FAA Air Transport Pilot Licence Number 1932258, as the pilot in command of the Interstate S1A Cadet aeroplane, FAA registration N-37361.

3          Exemption

The pilots in command of the aircraft are exempt from complying with the requirements of paragraph 155 (1) (a) of CAR 1988.
