Exemption — flight data recording

1          Duration

                 This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day after registration; and

(b)   is repealed at the end of 2 February 2017.

2          Application

                 This instrument applies to the Gates Learjet Model 35A S/N 366 registered
VH-YPT aircraft that:

(a)   has a maximum take-off weight exceeding 5 700 kg; and

(b)   is operated by GoJet Pty Ltd, Aviation Reference Number 758273 (the operator); and

(c)   is engaged in private or aerial work operations; and

(d)   does not meet the flight and data recording requirements for aircraft of that kind mentioned in Civil Aviation Order 20.18 as in force from time to time (CAO 20.18).

3          Exemption and conditions

                 The operator of the aircraft is exempt from compliance with subparagraph 6.1 (a) of CAO 20.18, subject to the following conditions:

(a)   the operator must ensure that the aircraft is fitted with a cockpit voice recorder system (within the meaning of CAO 20.18);

(b)   the operator must ensure that the aircraft does not carry passengers during the operations;

(c)   the operator must ensure that the aircraft does not conduct flight crew training activities during the operations.
