Direction — number of cabin attendants (Alliance Airlines Pty Limited)
1 Duration
This instrument:
(a) commences on 1 September 2016; and
(b) is repealed at the end of 31 August 2018.
2 Application
This instrument applies to a Fokker F27 Mark 050 series type aircraft operated by Alliance Airlines Pty Limited, Aviation Reference Number 593564 (the operator), if the aircraft is operated for a purpose mentioned in paragraph 206 (1) (b) or (c) of CAR 1988.
3 Direction
(1) Subparagraph 6.1 (b) of Civil Aviation Order 20.16.3 does not apply to the aircraft in relation to the operations.
(2) The operator must assign for duty at least 1 cabin attendant for every 50 passenger seats or part of that number fitted to the aircraft for the operations.
4 Conditions
The direction is subject to the conditions mentioned in Schedule 1.
Schedule 1 Conditions
1 During take-off and landing and in prepared emergencies, the operator of the aircraft must ensure that a cabin attendant is positioned in the crew seat adjacent to the aft doors that serve as emergency exits for the aircraft.
2 The operator of the aircraft must ensure that the aircraft can be evacuated in 90 seconds.
3 The operator of the aircraft must ensure that arrangements for seating and briefing of passengers on the aircraft are in accordance with procedures set out in the operator’s operations manual.
4 The operator must include a copy of this direction in the operator’s operations manual.
