Direction — number of cabin attendants (Jetstar Airways)
1 Duration
This instrument:
(a) commences on the day after registration; and
(b) is repealed at the end of 31 August 2019.
2 Repeal
Instrument CASA 44/17 is repealed.
3 Application
This instrument applies to Jetstar Airways Pty Limited, ARN 510654 (Jetstar Airways), if it operates the following aircraft (the aircraft) in charter or regular public transport operations:
(a)Airbus A321-200 series aircraft with a type certificate data sheet that provides for a maximum seating capacity of 230 passengers;
(b)Airbus A320-200 series aircraft with a type certificate data sheet that provides for a maximum seating capacity of 186 passengers.
4 Directions
(1) Subparagraph 6.1 (b) of Civil Aviation Order 20.16.3, as in force from time to time, does not apply to Jetstar Airways.
(2) Jetstar Airways must assign for duty at least 1 cabin attendant for every 50 passenger seats or part of that number fitted to the aircraft.
(3) Jetstar Airways must not, without the prior written approval of CASA, revise any part of its operations manual relating to emergency procedures, including exits or the procedures relating to able-bodied passengers.
