CASA 81/18 — Number of Cabin Attendants(Network Aviation) Direction 2018

1          Name

                 This instrument is CASA 81/18 — Number of Cabin Attendants (Network Aviation) Direction 2018.

2          Duration

                 This instrument:

(a)   commences on 1 December 2018; and

(b)   is repealed at the end of 30 November 2020.

3          Application

                 This instrument applies to Network Aviation Pty Ltd (Network Aviation), ARN 555309, if Network Aviation operates Airbus A320 series aircraft that have the certified maximum passenger seating capacity of 180 passengers, and corresponding cabin configuration, mentioned in a type certificate data sheet for that series of aircraft (the relevant aircraft), in charter or regular public transport operations.

4          Directions

        (1)     Subparagraph 6.1 (b) of Civil Aviation Order 20.16.3, as in force from time to time, does not apply to Network Aviation Australia in respect of its operation of the relevant aircraft.

        (2)     Network Aviation Australia must assign for duty at least 1 cabin attendant for every 50 passenger seats or part of that number fitted to the relevant aircraft.

        (3)     Network Aviation Australia must give CASA 14 days written notice before making any revision to any part of its operations manual that affects emergency procedures for the relevant aircraft, including in relation to exits or procedures relating to able‑bodied passengers.
