CASA 79/18 — Number of Cabin Attendants(Eastern Australia Airlines) Direction 2018
1 Name
This instrument is CASA 79/18 — Number of Cabin Attendants (Eastern Australia Airlines) Direction 2018.
2 Duration
This instrument:
(a) commences on 1 December 2018; and
(b) is repealed at the end of 30 November 2020.
3 Application
This instrument applies to Eastern Australia Airlines Pty Limited (Eastern Australia Airlines), ARN 401654, if Eastern Australia Airlines operates DHC‑8‑300 series aircraft with a type certificate data sheet that provides for a maximum seating capacity of 50 passengers (the relevant aircraft) in charter, or regular public transport, operations.
4 Directions
(1) Subparagraph 6.1 (b) of Civil Aviation Order 20.16.3, as in force from time to time, does not apply to Eastern Australia Airlines in respect of its operation of the relevant aircraft.
(2) Eastern Australia Airlines must assign for duty at least 1 cabin attendant for every 50 passenger seats or part of that number fitted to the relevant aircraft.
(3) Eastern Australia Airlines must give CASA 14 days written notice before making any revision to any part of its operations manual that affects emergency procedures for the relevant aircraft, including in relation to exits or procedures relating to able‑bodied passengers.
