Approval under subregulation 207 (2)

  1. Duration

This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments; and

(b)   ceases to have effect at the end of February 2008.

  1. Revocation

Instrument number CASA 551/04 is revoked.

  1. Approval

I approve the nasal cannula type individual oxygen dispensing units manufactured under the name “Oxymizer” for fitting in the aircraft bearing the nationality and registration marks VH-CBK for use by flight crew members in the course of private, aerial work or charter operations.

  1. Conditions

  1. Each unit must have a flow rate of at least 0.3 litre per minute at 10 000 feet altitude, increasing by 0.1 litre per minute for every 2 000 feet up to 18 000 feet altitude.

  1. Other individual oxygen dispensing units for use in the aircraft, that are designed to cover the nose and mouth, must:

(a)be provided in accordance with paragraph 5.1.2 of section 108.26 of the Civil Aviation Orders; and

(b)comply with paragraph 6.1 of that section.
