CASA 66/18 — Number of Cabin Attendants (Alliance Airlines) Direction 2018

1          Name

                 This instrument is CASA 66/18 — Number of Cabin Attendants (Alliance Airlines) Direction 2018.

2          Duration

                 This instrument:

(a)   commences on 1 September 2018; and

(b)   is repealed at the end of 31 August 2020.

3          Application

                 This instrument applies to Alliance Airlines Pty Limited (Alliance Airlines), ARN 593564, if Alliance Airlines operates a Fokker F27 Mark 050 series aircraft with a maximum seating capacity of 50 passengers (the relevant aircraft) in charter, or regular public transport, operations.

4          Direction

        (1)     Subparagraph 6.1 (b) of Civil Aviation Order 20.16.3, as in force from time to time, does not apply to Alliance Airlines in respect of its operation of the relevant aircraft.

        (2)     Alliance Airlines must assign for duty at least 1 cabin attendant for every 50 passenger seats or part of that number fitted to the relevant aircraft.

        (3)     Alliance Airlines must not, without the prior written approval of CASA, revise any part of its operations manual affecting emergency procedures for the relevant aircraft, including in relation to exits or procedures relating to able‑bodied passengers.
