Direction — number of cabin attendants

1          Duration

            This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day after it is registered; and

(b)   stops having effect at the end of 30 November 2008.

2          Application

            This instrument applies to the aircraft mentioned in Schedule 1 operated by Tiger Airways Australia Pty Limited, Aviation Reference Number 766093 (the operator), and engaged in regular public transport operations.

3          Direction

            The operator may operate an aircraft mentioned in Schedule 1 with 4 cabin attendants.

4          Conditions

            The direction is subject to the conditions mentioned in Schedule 2.

Schedule 1          Aircraft

            Australian registered Airbus A320 series with a type data certificate that provides for a maximum seating capacity of 180.

Schedule 2          Conditions

      1     Only physically competent (able-bodied) persons may occupy seats in the over wing emergency exit rows.

      2     During the aircraft take-off, landing operation and in prepared emergencies, each over wing exit row should be occupied by a minimum of 2 physically competent (able-bodied) persons.

      3     All passengers seated in the over wing emergency exit rows must receive and respond to a briefing on the opening of over wing emergency exits and subsequent actions required in the event of an emergency.
