Approval under subregulation 207 (2)

1          Duration

            This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments; and

(b)   stops having effect at the end of November 2008.

2          Approval

            I approve the nasal cannula type individual oxygen dispensing units manufactured under the name “Oxymizer” for fitting in the aircraft bearing the nationality and registration marks VH-WJK for use by flight crew members in the course of private, aerial work or charter operations.

3          Conditions

   (1)     Each unit must have a flow rate of at least 0.3 litre per minute at 10 000 feet altitude, increasing by 0.1 litre per minute for every 2 000 feet up to 18 000 feet altitude.

   (2)     Other individual oxygen dispensing units for use in the aircraft, that are designed to cover the nose and mouth, must:

(a)   be provided in accordance with paragraph 5.1.2 of Civil Aviation Order 108.26; and

(b)   comply with paragraph 6.1 of that Order.
