Direction — carriage of life rafts

1          Duration

            This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments; and

(b)   stops having effect at the end of 30 September 2007.

2          Application

            This instrument applies to each Fokker F28 Mark 100 aircraft operated by Skywest Airlines Pty Ltd (Aviation Reference Number 075986) (the aircraft).

3          Direction

   (1)     The aircraft is not required to carry life rafts for flights over water.

   (2)     This direction has effect despite paragraph 5.2.1 of section 20.11 of the Civil Aviation Orders.

4          Condition

            The direction is subject to the condition that the aircraft must be within the lesser of 60 minutes at single engine cruising speed or 345 nautical miles from an adequate aerodrome as defined in Civil Aviation Order 82.0.
