Direction — carriage of life rafts

1          Duration

            This instrument:

(a)   commences on 1 October 2007; and

(b)   stops having effect at the end of 30 September 2009.

2          Application

            This instrument applies to each Fokker F28 Mark 100 aircraft operated by Skywest Airlines Pty Ltd, Aviation Reference Number 075986 (the aircraft).

3          Direction

   (1)     The aircraft is not required to carry life rafts for flights over water.

   (2)     This direction has effect despite paragraph 5.2.1 of Civil Aviation Order 20.11.

4          Condition

            The direction is subject to the condition that the aircraft must be within the lesser of 60 minutes at single engine cruising speed or 345 nautical miles from an adequate aerodrome as defined in Civil Aviation Order 82.0.
