CASA 33/19 – Number of Cabin Attendants(Capiteq Pty Limited – Airnorth) Direction 2019

1          Name

                 This instrument is CASA 33/19 – Number of Cabin Attendants (Capiteq Pty Limited – Airnorth) Direction 2019.

2          Duration

                 This instrument:

(a)   commences on 1 June 2019; and

(b)   is repealed at the end of 31 May 2021.

3          Application

                 This instrument applies to Capiteq Pty Limited, ARN 518845, registered to the business name of Airnorth, if Capiteq Pty Limited operates Embraer 170‑100 series aircraft with a type certificate data sheet that provides for a maximum seating capacity of 78 passengers (the relevant aircraft) in charter, or regular public transport, operations.

4          Directions

        (1)     Subparagraph 6.1 (b) of Civil Aviation Order 20.16.3, as in force from time to time, does not apply to Capiteq Pty Limited in respect of its operation of the relevant aircraft.

        (2)     Capiteq Pty Limited must assign for duty at least 1 cabin attendant for every 50 passenger seats or part of that number fitted to the relevant aircraft.

        (3)     Capiteq Pty Limited must give written notice to CASA at least 14 days before making any revision to any part of its operations manual that affects emergency procedures for the relevant aircraft, including in relation to exits or procedures relating to able-bodied assistants.
