Permission and direction — helicopter operations by Wellspring Rural Services Pty Ltd, trading as Northern Helicopter Charter

1          Duration

                 This instrument:

(a)   commences on the day of registration; and

(b)   expires at the end of November 2016, as if it had been repealed by another instrument.

2          Application

                 This instrument applies to a helicopter operated by Wellspring Rural Services Pty Ltd, trading as Northern Helicopter Charter, Aviation Reference Number 771438 (the operator), when it is necessary, for the purpose of an operation, to leave or board the helicopter where a landing is not possible or safe.

3          Permission

                 When a helicopter is in the hover to enable a passenger to leave or board the helicopter, the passenger may be carried on the undercarriage for the purpose of leaving or boarding.

4          Direction

                 When a helicopter is in the hover at a height of less than 1 000 feet above the terrain to enable a passenger to leave or board the helicopter, the passenger is not required to occupy a seat or wear a seat belt.

5          Condition

                 The permission in section 3 is subject to the condition mentioned in Schedule 1.

Schedule 1            Condition

              The operations must be carried out in accordance with the instructions, approved in writing by CASA, set out in the operator’s operations manual.
