AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Careless Use of Fire Ordinance

19364944.

BE it ordained by the Governor-General in and over the Com-Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the monwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909-1938 and the Seat of
Government (Administration) Act 1910-1940, as follows:—

1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Careless Use of short title

Fire Ordinance 1946.* and citation'

(2.) The Careless Use of Fire Ordinance 1936-1944, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Careless Use of Fire Ordinance 1936-1946.

2. After section five F of the Careless Use of Fire Ordinance

1936-1944 the following section is inserted:—

" OFA.— (1.) The Minister may, in respect of each member of Deputies of

the Council, appoint a person to be the deputy of that member. coundT °'

" (2.) Any person so appointed shall, in the event of the absence (through illness or otherwise) of the member of whom he is the deputy, have all the powers of that member during his absence.".
