AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Careless Use of Fire Ordinance 1936.

BE it ordained by the Governor-General in and over the Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909 and the Seat of Govern-

ment (Administration) Act 1910-1933, as follows:—
1.— (1.) This Ordinance may lie cited as the Careless Use of short title ai d , a H ™
Fire Ordinance 1937.

(2.) The Careless Use of Fire Ordinance 193(5 is in this

Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance,

may be cited as the Careless Use of Fire Ordinance 1936-1937.

2.   Section seventeen of the Principal Ordinance is amended— Beguintions. (a) by inserting after the word " Ordinance," (second

occurring) the words " or for the prevention of the

occurrence or the spread of fire,"; and

(b) by inserting in paragraph (a) after the word " u s e "

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

the words " of crude phosphorus or ".
