REGULATIONS UNDER THE CANNING-FRUIT CHARGE
ACT 1959
WHEREAS it is provided by section
7 of the

is provided by sub-section 9 (2) of that Act that, before making regulations
under section 9 of that Act prescribing a rate for the purposes of section 7 of
that Act, the Governor-General shall take into consideration any recommendation
with respect to the rate of the charge made to the Minister by the Australian
Canned Fruit Sales Promotion Committee constituted by the

NOW THEREFORE
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council and after taking into consideration the
recommendation with respect to the rate of the charge made to the Minister by
the Australian Canned Fruit Sales Promotion Committee, hereby make the

Canning-Fruit Charge Regulations
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Canning-Fruit Charge Regulations.
2. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 December 1979.
3. For the purposes of section 7 of theCanning-Fruit Charge Act 1959, the rate of the charge is 50 cents per tonne of fruit.
