Cancer (Reporting) (Amendment) Regulations 1997
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to make provision for the reporting of cancer to the Anti- Cancer Council of Victoria, by organisations that maintain a prescribed register, in accordance with the Cancer Act 1958.
2. Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 60(1A) and 60(4) of the Cancer Act 1958.
3. Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on
1 January 1998.
4. Principal Regulations
In these Regulations the Cancer (Reporting)
Regulations 19921 are called the Principal
Regulations.

5. Amendment of regulation 2
In regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations, before "hospitals" insert "organisations that maintain a prescribed register,".
6. Amendment of regulation 3
In regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations, for
"section" substitute "sections 60(1), 60(1A),60(2A) and".
7. Insertion of new regulation 7
After regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations,
insert—"7. Prescribed register reports
For the purposes of section 60(1A) of the
Cancer Act 1958, a report must—
(a) date the person in charge of an
organisation that maintains a prescribed
register becomes aware that a patient,
whose information is included in the
prescribed register maintained by thatbe submitted within 90 days from the to suffer from cancer; and
(b)
be in the form contained in Schedule 3.".
8. Insertion of new Schedule 3
After Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations insert—
