An Act to amend the Canberra Tourism and Events Corporation Act 1997

  1. Name of Act

    This Act is the Canberra Tourism and Events Corporation Amendment Act 2003.

  2. Commencement

    This Act commences on 1 July 2003.

    NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

  3. Act amended

    This Act amends the Canberra Tourism and Events Corporation Act 1997.

  4. Title

    An Act to establish the Australian Capital Tourism Corporation, and for related purposes

  5. Section 1

  6. Name of Act

    This Act is the Australian Capital Tourism Corporation Act 1997.

  7. Definitions for Act
    Section 3, definition of corporation

    substitute

    corporation means the Australian Capital Tourism Corporation.

  8. Establishment
    Section 4 (1)

    substitute

  9. The Australian Capital Tourism Corporation is established.

  10. Constitution
    Section 8 (1)

    substitute

  11. The corporation consists of 9 members, as follows:

    (a)a chairperson and 6 other people appointed by the Minister under schedule 1, clause 2;

    (b)the chief executive officer;

    (c)a public servant appointed under section 11.
