AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Canberra Theatre Trust Ordinance 1965-1968.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under

the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910-1973.

CANBERRA THEATRE TRUST ORDINANCE 1974

1. (1 ) This Ordinance may be cited as the Canberra Theatre Trust

Ordinance 1974.*

(2) The Canberra Theatre Trust Ordinance 1965-1968,f as

amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Canberra Theatre Trust

Ordinance 1965-1974.

2 . Section 19 of the Canberra Theatre Trust Ordinance 1965-1968
is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-section:—
" (2) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Ordinance,
or sub-section 109 (6) of the Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1974,

the provisions of the Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1974, other than

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

sub-section 109 ( 6 ) , apply to, and in relation to—

(a)	every carriageway in the Canberra Theatre Centre that is available for use by the public;
(b)	every area of land within the Canberra Theatre Centre that is available for use by the public for the parking of motor vehicles; and
(c)	every entrance to, or exit from, such a carriageway or area of land,

as if the carriageway, area of land, entrance or exit were an off-street parking area and a public place within the meaning of the Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1974.".
