Canberra Sewerage and Water Supply Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THOMAS UREN, the Minister of State for Territories and Local Government, hereby make the following Regulations under the Building and Services Ordinance 1924.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 October 1983.

Principal Regulations

2. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Canberra

Sewerage and Water Supply Regulations.

Interpretation
3. Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting after the definition of "cooling appliance" in sub-regulation (1) the following definitions:

" 'determined charge' means the relevant charge determined by the Minister under section 3F of the Building and Services Ordinance 1924;

words after "upon payment o f and substituting "the determined fee.".

" 'determined fee' means the relevant fee determined by the Minister under

section 3F of the Building and Services Ordinance 1924".

Interference with drains, &c, connected with sewerage system

4. Regulation 15 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting

sub-regulations (3), (4) and (5).

Conditions to be complied with before approval

5. Regulation 18 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting

sub-regulations (2) and (3).

Fees for plans

6. Regulation 20 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting all

Plans of individual tenements

7. Regulation 21 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "will supply, at the rate of $15 for each block" and substituting "shall supply, on payment of the determined fee".

Testing

8. Regulation 24 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from

sub-regulation (8) "a fee of $16.50" and substituting "the determined fee.".
Sale of unmetered water

9. Regulation 92A of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "an amount calculated at the rate of 22 cents for each kilolitre of water" and substituting "the determined charge".

Work on water service

10. Regulation 97 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "a

fee of $ 10" and substituting "the determined fee".

Notice to be given before interference with pipes, &c, communicating with

Commonwealth pipes

11. Regulation 100 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting

sub-regulation (lA).

Fee for re-inspection of works

12. Regulation 110A of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting

"a fee of $10" and substituting "the determined fee.".

Certificate of compliance with Regulations

13. Regulation 116A of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting

"a fee of $5" and substituting "the determined fee".

Inspection fee

14. Regulation 116B of the Principal Ordinance is repealed. NOTES
